Aire Mile 80 Heck Ings Tidal

I have been walking this continuous flood wall since Brotherton, some nineteen miles  now . It protects homes built on the flood plains, factories and agricultural land. Each of the former flood meadows has an identity and still carries the name Ings. This is  H eck Ings and the  not-that-far-off  railway bridge carries  the line  from  the Outside World into  Drax Power Station .
