Mile 32 Myrtle Park Bingley 240’
This photo is taken from the bottom footbridge at Myrtle Park. This is the tail of a rapid where there is a significant gradient to the river bed and rocks on the surface and river bed create waves and currents, breaking the water’s surface.
I come to rivers through a lifetime of kayak slalom and this rapid is the site of my first ever race. I fell in at the start and made it down the full course only once but it was enough to keep me coming back for more.
