Aire Mile 67 Ferrybridge 20’

The approach to this Mile Point was along more flood bank – a grassy mud wall with a wide base and worn path along the top. Following heavy rain it was clay-ey and made for less skipping than earlier in the day. It was worth it though as the high waters had brought Ferrybridge weir into action, holding tree trunks in its grasp and tossing them about like mere twigs. After a few photos we hot-footed it four miles back to Nick’s van and just beat the dusk.
