Aire Mile 80 Heck Ings Tidal

I have been walking this continuous flood wall since Brotherton, some nineteen miles now. It protects homes built on the flood plains, factories and agricultural land. Each of the former flood meadows has an identity and still carries the name Ings. This is Heck Ings and the not-that-far-off railway bridge carries the line from the Outside World into Drax Power Station.
